Love Trees campaign

Will you help Trees for Cities to plant 20,000 new trees in 2012?

As part of our Love Trees campaign, we would like you to donate to Trees for Cities to enable us to plant over 20,000 trees in cities in the UK and worldwide. Broadcaster Jon Snow, a long-term supporter of Trees for Cities is supporting our campaign and has seen the benefits of Trees for Cities’ planting at first hand:

Trees for Cities has worked hard over the past 18 years of its existence to improve the urban environment. It’s not just about the number of trees planted – Trees for Cities puts the local people and communities at the heart of every project that they do. I have seen the positive impact of their work in making our cities better places to live.

It is all too easy to take trees for granted in our urban environment but they are the lungs of cities and perform a role in mitigating climate change, reducing crime, increasing health and well being.’

What you can do

By donating anything from as little as £5 a month, you will be helping to plant trees in areas of cities that need it most.

I genuinely believe that this is a chance to make a difference and help our future well-being and survival.’ Jon Snow, Channel 4 News

“I'm going to give the charity Trees for Cities £25 for every goal West Brom score between now and the end of the season. That won't buy a forest, but it might make a difference.”
