Your most frequently asked questions

FAQs

How can I join the team?

Registering and running for Trees for Cities or having us as your nominated charity automatically makes you a member.

What if I have an injury and it looks like I won’t be able to take part?

If you’re unable to make it due to ill health or injury we first recommend you contact a doctor or specialist, then let us know asap as we may be able to allocate the place to someone else. We would also ask that you still collect the fundraising amount as every penny counts to Trees for Cities.

Will I deal with you or the race organisers?

If you are taking part and registering through us then we will be your main point of contact for all aspects. If you’ve secured your own place and are raising funds for us, your best bet is to deal directly with them and use us for any fundraising or training support you need.

How do the guaranteed Trees for Cities places work?

By registering and paying the registration fee you are committing yourself to running or taking part in that event for Trees for Cities. It also means you’re pledging to raise the minimum amount detailed in the event criteria and if you are unable to do so, you will have to cover the outstanding balance yourself. We have set the minimum quite low so don’t be concerned, once you get into it, it’s a breeze!

I don’t like running but would be interested in a different challenge

Its not just running we like our supporters to take part in, they can do anything! Whether it's sky diving, hiking the Inca trail or cycling from London to Paris we would love you to do it for Trees for Cities. “I'm going to give the charity Trees for Cities £25 for every goal West Brom score between now and the end of the season. That won't buy a forest, but it might make a difference.”
