When I purchase a community gift what will I receive?

We will send you a personalised gift card with information about your gift for the recipient.

What is my money spent on?

Our tree gifts are a donation towards the work of Trees for Cities and represent the type of activity that your money could go towards. We endeavour to keep our administration costs to a minimum. For every pound raised, approximately 87 pence goes directly to our charitable activities. This is split as follows:

• 63 pence is spent on community greening projects in London, our UK cities and three overseas projects
• 13 pence is spent on providing vocational training in horticulture, arboriculture and woodland management to long-term unemployed people and other hard-to-reach groups living close to our projects
• 11 pence is spent on our campaigning activities – putting the planting of trees in urban areas at the top of our leaders’ agendas and educating the public on the importance of urban greening projects

Just 13 pence is spent on raising funds and running the charity. For further information about charities and administration costs generally, go to www.charityfundraising.org

What credit or debit cards can I use on this site?

We accept the following cards for payment: MasterCard, Solo, Visa. 

Can I pay by CAF on the website?

Our website is not set up to receive CAF or other charity account payments. To pay by CAF simply order by phone by calling 020 7820 4415.

Do I get a receipt for my purchase?

You will receive a confirmation email from Trees for Cities with details of your order. 

Do you charge for postage and packing?

We don’t charge you a penny for postage and packing, unless you would like us to. Any contribution towards postage and packing will be very welcome and will enable Trees for Cities to spend more money on where it matters most. 

When will my gift be delivered?

UK Delivery information
You can usually expect to receive the presentation gift card 4-5 working days after the date of your order.

Eire and Channel Islands deliveries
You can usually expect to receive the presentation gift card 7-8 working days after the date of your order.

International deliveries You can usually expect to receive the presentation gift card within 12-14 working days of the date of your order. 

Returns policy

In the unlikely event that you do want to return your goods, we offer a limited period no quibble returns policy so you can buy safe in the knowledge that you can return your goods if you choose to do so.* This is 14 days and 31 days for overseas returns. Issues with Trees for Cities’ Online Shop orders are a very rare occurrence.  But just in case one occurs, this help page should give you information on what you will need to do.

* Please note that Trees for Cities tree gifts count as a donation, so our no quibble returns policy does not apply, and under Charity Commission rules, we are unable to give you a refund.
