Whitehawk Community Food Project
As part of our Trees for Food strategy, Whitehawk will soon be seeing exotic fruits in the form of figs, apricots and juicy grapes. We are planting the trees with a local community food project and it won’t be long before people have a delicious, healthy and environmentally friendly alternative to supermarket-bought fruit.
Cutting food miles helps urban communities move to more sustainable, lower impact ways of living, and with a little care many species associated with warmer climes can flourish in the UK.
Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver our Brighton projects. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift.
