Trees for Cities is supporting the newly formed North East Central Community Garden group in their efforts to transform a derelict patch of land in Dublin's Northside into a beautiful food-growing garden. Together we will move five tonnes of topsoil onto the site, plant 30 apple and cherry trees, and construct raised beds for vegetable growing.

Through this grass-roots community initiative we will involve local people of all ages, and will turn the land into a vibrant community space benefitting the people living in this inner-city area of Dublin.

This project is being delivered in partnership with News International Ireland and the local community.

Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver our Dublin projects. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift.

“Trees are a luxury for all of us and we need this luxury for our health, mind and soul. Places become sad when there is no green, no life present. Trees balance our lives. I am happy to support Trees for Cities with all my heart.”
