Glasgow

Glasgow is Scotland's most populous city with large parts of under-used, under-developed ‘brown land’. However, only 27% of Glaswegians have access to a garden.

Trees for Cities is working in areas in and around Glasgow where communities want and need regeneration, turning this land into community orchards benefiting local people by giving them a community space and increased wellbeing.

Our Glasgow projects are delivered in partnership with the Commonwealth Orchard project, and will help preserve some of the 200 heritage varieties of apple specific to Scotland.

Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver our Glasgow projects. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift.

“Trees are a luxury for all of us and we need this luxury for our health, mind and soul. Places become sad when there is no green, no life present. Trees balance our lives. I am happy to support Trees for Cities with all my heart.”
