Farsley

In February 2010 we were joined by volunteers from TD Waterhouse to plant 20 large specimen oaks at Farfield Recreation Ground in Farsley. The wonderful English oak trees will reduce noise and pollution from the Farsley ring road for people living in nearby council housing, and leave a lasting legacy for many future generations.

TD Waterhouse has helped fund this project as part of a commitment to plant over 300 trees across Leeds and Manchester. Local schoolchildren will complete the planting later in February with a further ten oak trees.

If you or your company would like to get involved in tree planting in the Leeds area contact Millie on 0207 820 4427 or email millie@treesforcities.org.

Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver our Leeds projects. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift.

“Trees are a luxury for all of us and we need this luxury for our health, mind and soul. Places become sad when there is no green, no life present. Trees balance our lives. I am happy to support Trees for Cities with all my heart.”
