Hanover Square

Hanover Square

In March 2010 Trees for Cities was joined by local volunteers to plant six new specimen trees at Hanover Square in the city centre. The square lost nine mature trees in four years, so this new planting was much needed.

The hawthorn and rowan trees will bring fantastic seasonal colour into the square with scarlet and white blossoms in spring, and red and yellow berries in autumn.

Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver our Leeds projects. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift

“Trees are a luxury for all of us and we need this luxury for our health, mind and soul. Places become sad when there is no green, no life present. Trees balance our lives. I am happy to support Trees for Cities with all my heart.”
