Bevin Court

Working alongside the Bevin Court Community Gardens group and in partnership with Homes for Islington and the London Borough of Islington, Trees for Cities will transform the physical environment surrounding this historic building and improve the welfare of the residents of Bevin Court through a community tree planting and landscaping project. The project will build upon the successful launch of a new community allotment scheme, identifying further areas for edible planting and will include the development of key new habitats within the estate to attract and sustain local wildlife populations.

This project is supported by Homes for Islington, Bevin Court Community Gardens, London Borough of Islington, the London Tree and Woodland Grant Scheme (Forestry Commission), the City Bridge Trust and The Esmee Fairburn Foundation.

“Trees are a luxury for all of us and we need this luxury for our health, mind and soul. Places become sad when there is no green, no life present. Trees balance our lives. I am happy to support Trees for Cities with all my heart.”
