Southwark, Peckham and Nunhead

Southwark, Peckham and Nunhead

Trees for Cities is working in partnership with Nunhead and Peckham Rye Community Council and the London Borough of Southwark to improve the streetscape of Peckham and Nunhead through tree planting. The project is now in its fifth year and has already over 50 new street trees in the local area. This year we are planning to plant a further 21 new trees.

This project is supported by Cleaner, Greener, Safer (Nunhead and Peckham Rye Community Council) and Trees for Cities Trees for Streets Campaign.

Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver projects like the Greening Southwark Project. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying community gift.

This project is part of RE:LEAF, a programme to ensure there is always one tree for every London resident - keeping pace with London's growing population.  For further information see http://www.london.gov.uk/releaf-london

“Trees are a luxury for all of us and we need this luxury for our health, mind and soul. Places become sad when there is no green, no life present. Trees balance our lives. I am happy to support Trees for Cities with all my heart.”
