Hough End Playing Fields

Our second planting site was Hough End Playing Fields in the Chorlton area of South Manchester. Here we worked closely with local residents and members of the nearby Broughton Park rugby club to plant 900 trees at a disused section of the park. Species planted included Alder, Blackthorn, Oak and Ash and they will create an attractive wooded area for park users and residents living adjacent to the site.

Trees for Cities relies on donations in order to deliver projects like Hough End Playing Fields. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift.

“Trees are a luxury for all of us and we need this luxury for our health, mind and soul. Places become sad when there is no green, no life present. Trees balance our lives. I am happy to support Trees for Cities with all my heart.”
