Cringle Fields and Park

Our work at Cringle Fields and neighbouring Cringle Park in Levenshulme has involved creation of four new woodland plots, 200m of Beech hedgerow and an orchard of 20 apple and pear trees. Plantings took place from January 2008 to March 2009, and we were joined at various points by local school children, students participating in our Plant your future programme, the Friends of Cringle Fields and Park Group, staff from local business TD Waterhouse and other local residents.

The orchard is now bearing delicious fruit each autumn, and the woodland and hedgerow will mature to create impressive features for local people to enjoy.
