East End Park

East End Park
In March 2009, Trees for Cities and Leeds City Council planted 3,000 whips at East End Park in order to create new areas of urban woodland and screen the park from the railway line that runs behind it. We were assisted in the planting by local volunteers and pupils from Richmond Hill Primary School.
The planting follows our first East End Park planting in 2007 when, with the help of the local community, we planted 18 large trees to replace those lost the previous year when a freak tornado struck the city.
Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver projects like the East End Park Project. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift.
