Cannon Hill Common Project

Cannon Hill Common Project
In partnership with the London Borough of Merton and the Friends of Cannon Hill Common, Trees for Cities has undertaken woodland management activities and localised areas of tree planting in this beautiful 21 hectares of parkland, open water and mature woodlands.
Planting of approximately 300 whips took place in November 2009 following community consultation, with local volunteers to diversify species and habitat around existing mature and semi-mature copses.
Volunteers can get involved in planting the new trees during the winter months. Contact TfC's volunteer coordinator if you would like to get involved in our tree planting projects.
This project is funded by the London Borough of Merton, the London Tree and Woodland Grant Scheme and the Friends of Cannon Hill.
Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver projects like the Cannon Hill Common Project. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift.
