A man and a woman planting a tree

Farsley

In February 2010 we were joined by volunteers from TD Waterhouse to plant 20 large specimen oaks at Farfield Recreation Ground in Farsley. The wonderful English oak trees will reduce noise and pollution from the Farsley ring road for people living in nearby council housing, and leave a lasting legacy for many future generations.

TD Waterhouse has helped fund this project as part of a commitment to plant over 300 trees across Leeds and Manchester. Local schoolchildren will complete the planting later in February with a further ten oak trees.

If you or your company would like to get involved in tree planting in the Leeds area contact David on 0207 820 4427 or email david@treesforcities.org.
