Trees for Cities is an independent charity that engages local people to plant and protect trees in towns and cities worldwide. We cultivate lasting change in urban neighbourhoods; revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments and getting people excited about growing and eating healthy food.
Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting a fixed-term Project Manager to manage a nature connections project at Racecourse estate in Ealing, London. Reporting to the Development Manager, you will be responsible for engaging residents and partners to achieve our vision of bringing nature into the everyday lives of residents living on the estate. The project will create a blueprint that can be replicated in towns and cities across the country.
This is a fixed-term role for a driven, entrepreneurial, community-focused individual to build upon our community planting programmes in Ealing.
We seek someone with proven experience in forging new partnerships and managing environmental community projects, a passion for urban nature and healthy cities, together with strong organisational, inter-personal and communication skills.
This is a full-time position based in Ealing with access to office facilities at Ealing Council and at Trees for Cities office in Kennington, Lambeth.
The job holder will be subject to a DBS check. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
