Buckland and Stamshaw Green Festival: Supporting A Wilder Portsmouth

Join us for a day of urban tree celebration with plenty of FREE fun activities for the whole family

Trees for Cities, in partnership with Portsmouth City Council and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, are hosting a celebration of urban trees at Buckland Green on Thursday 25th August 2022!

Trees for Cities has been working with Portsmouth City Council to plant new trees in and around Buckland Estate as part of our work to green coastal towns and cities. Thanks to the Green Recovery Challenge Fund, we have already planted over 4,000 trees in Portsmouth over the last year to increase canopy cover and encouraging biodiversity, and will begin planting more trees later this year!

What's on?

The festival will celebrate all things urban trees through art, storytelling, talks, walks, workshops, music and activities for all.

We will be running workshops throughout the day, starting at 11am and finishing at 4pm.

A chance to learn about wildlife and trees in our storytelling tent!
